Managed to catch this short clip of Mia crawling for the first time. She’s now at the stage that if you hold her hands she will take a few wobbly steps, much to her delight…

We got away from Medellin this weekend and had a picnic next to a remote river about 2 hours away from here.  A whole group of us caravaned it early Sunday morning. Very cool place , 3 or 4 years ago you wouldn’t have dreamed of going there - you would never have made it, now its as safe a ever and very quiet.

At 8 months Mia is 71cm ( 40% above the average) and 7.8kg (10% below )

We are entering the rainy season here in Medellin and we tend to get a storm every other day. Some are behind the distant hills and others right overhead. We had a killer storm about a week ago and I managed to get some pretty cool pics of the whole thing. Over the course of an hour i took 291 photos and managed to get these 2.
